Some New Photos of African Violets
Hi to all my customers,
It has been a while since I updated my blog, but I have been busy with orders, photos etc. I have just prepared some photo entries for an upcoming show, so I will let you have a sneak preview of some.
I did have some computer problems, but seems they are now sorted.
The African Violets are all growing so well with the warmth and the humidity we have been experiencing of late. The leaves are so huge I have had to move some plants off trays to make room for the plants to spread.
In the next month I have 2 shows to prepare for. One local and one in Newcastle. If anyone is close to Newcastle on the weekend of 1st and 2nd of May 2010, the African Violet show is being held at Adamstown Club, Brunker Rd. Adamstown. Times are 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3pm on Sunday. This is the weekend before Mother's Day, so if you are looking for a great gift, come along. There wil be lots of beautiful plants to see and photos to admire as well.

November 30th 2009
Here is another update on what is looking great this week.
There are so many to choose from I have just chosen a blue, a pink mini and a red for a bit of colour variety. The plants are Glamour Queen, Rob's Antique Rose and Tomahawk.
I have had some really hot weather so the flowers aren't lasting as long as they were a few weeks ago, but they still have lots of beautiful colour.
I have re potted a lot of my Streptocarpus and they are just starting to put on some new growth now. A couple were really hit hard by the hot weather.
Some of my Episcias are coming into flower as well.
My website is almost ready with a new catalogue uploaded ot it.
Untill next week, Happy Growing.

November 5th 2009 update
This week the flowers are all looking beautiful with their strong spring colours. The plants I repotted during the early part of spring are in flower and growing strongly.
This week I have had 2 plants of the same variety, 'Light Years' flower differently. One is the true colour of single white with purple markings and a green edge, and the other has flowered a very deep purple with a green edge. both look very nice. This is the image at the top of the page.
I have some new Streptocarpus coming out in flower this week also. Photos later.
A plant growing outside under shade cloth is a Columnia "Alladin's Lamp"
My web site is in the process of being updated with the new catalogue for 2010. Note that there wil be a price rise of some products in the New Year and also a maximum of 30 leaves per order. This is to give more people a chance to get their chosen leaf orders.
